For a visual, I run it on the right as it easier for me to manipulate the rifle that way. Rolling the rifle slightly seems to be quicker and more consistent than popping up, losing your cheekweld and sort of floating the rifle.
The Type 2 ACOGs moved the mount point forward so it's not as high as the older ACOGs, but it's still not preferable for me. Just something to think about if you haven't run it that way. A lot of really solid shooters I've worked with still run the stacked option if using an ACOG, so it's preference for sure. The Primary Arms fixed power scopes are great, and the ACSS is a really clever, somewhat intuitive system.

Hera Arms mag, there's two generations of the 30-round, I'm pretty sure OP has the second. The first gen has 10, 20 and 30 rounders and I heard they all suck, whereas the new 30s are pretty OK. They feel cheap/flimsy but have worked great and plenty of people like them.I heard that they can use PMAG M2 internals (which I haven't tested cuz I don't have those pmags), pmag M3 guts don't work but if you make a couple of cuts on the Hera mag's spine it uses pmag M3 dust covers very well.I wouldn't leave one of these loaded because they bulge and I fear it would warp/split, but I have left one loaded for months with a pmag m3 dust cover and it seems good as new. Thanks for reading my TED talk lol.
